EIFFPA has provided further training sessions on the Basics of Interest Free Finance (BIFF) in two
batches for participants registered from different banks. Both sessions have been given at
Aphrodite Hotel in Kazanchis, Addis Ababa. The first one has been delivered on May 23 and 24,
2023 to 30 participants.
The second session has been accomplished in two weeks’ time on June 6 and 7, 2023 in which 41
participants have attended. Participants have appreciated the training delivery methods and
encouraged EIFFPA to continue in its capacity building exercises. They have further suggested
incorporating other specialized topics as well. The Executive Committee members presented to
conclude the trainings have explained the various training modules that EIFFPA has organized as
part of its capacity building exercises including the suggested specialized trainings.
In addition, EIFFPA has also provided the same course to ten senior management members of
Zemen Bank SC on May 29 and 30, 2023 at their recently inaugurated headquarter in Addis Ababa.
Zemen Bank has requested EIFFPA for this introductory course to obtain the fundamental
knowledge in providing interest free banking services as delivery of this alternative banking
service is part of their strategic plan.
